Definition: Noun: (1) Name for the visual sensation associated with wavelengths of light between green and red, viz between 570-590nm. (2) Colourant used in colour film to adsorb blue light. * Hence also referred to as minus-blue. (3) One of the separation colours used in 4- or 6- colour reproduction. * The angle for the screen corresponding to yellow is usually 90<. (4) Verb: (of photographic print or paper, etc.) to change colour from white to cream or off-white as a result of deterioration or chemical changes in contaminants due to imperfect processing.
