weight
Definition: (1) Measure of thickness and density of paper stock based on weight of one square metre of the stock. (2) Mass of an object multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity. (3) Object of known mass used to measure unknown quantity using e.g. balance. (4) Indication of thickness of line or stroke in e.g. graphics or publishing programme.
