Definition: (1) Noun: sub-section or part of a larger bit-mapped image. * May be used for file storage purposes or for image processing. (2) Verb: to print a page that is larger than the printing device available in smaller sections e.g. when only an A4 printer is available, an A2 poster may have to be printed in four or more tiles or sections.
