stock
Definition: (1) Unexposed light-sensitive material e.g. film, printing paper as in 'film stock' or 'raw stock'. * Also store of unexposed material. (2) Support or substrate for mass printing e.g. paper stock, card stock. (3) Collection of images, edited and ready to be used for publication e.g. stock library. (4) Support for camera, usually enabling whole unit to be pressed against the shoulder, like a rifle stock.
