stereoscopic radius
Definition: Maximum distance at which the stereoscopic effect may be observed i.e. the eye cannot tell whether the object is at infinity or nearer. * For normal, unaided eye, it is about 500m. * This follows from the observation that the minimum difference in angle subtended at the eye which an observer can detect is plus or minus 30seconds of an arc. * Also known as stereoscopic range.
