spectral response

Definition: Measure of a light-detector's signal or developed density of light-sensitive material when exposed to radiation of varying wavelength. * Depending on data required, amount of exposure may be varied or may be held constant, the response may be measured or the detector may be stimulated to reach a given value, and so on. * Whole array of tests called also variously spectral sensitivity, spectral efficiency.
