spatial resolution

Definition: Measure of photo-detector's ability to discriminate detail: equals image width (or depth) at the image plane divided by the number of sensitive elements in the corresponding dimension. * Units: millimetres per pixel e.g. spatial resolution of a sensor 22.7mm long with 2160 pixels on that axis equals 0.0105mm/pixel.
