Definition: (1) Camera ~: values or positions of the basic camera controls of aperture and shutter time i.e. the aperture setting and shutter (time) setting. * As cameras become more automated, with user-set features, the term increasingly refers to the user's preferences e.g. behaviour of flash, of LCD screen, image quality, etc. (2) Custom ~ or preferences: choices made as to how an applications software should behave e.g. where it stores certain files, how tools behave, whether it opens with an open document or blank screen, etc.
