sensitivity
Definition: Measure of a system's ability to respond to a stimulus. (1) For a detector e.g. film, CCD, light-meter: the ratio of the output signal to the input signal. * E.g. high-sensitivity film produces a high density in response to low light. * Many measures e.g. film speed, signal/noise ratio, quantum efficiency, etc. (2) For pointing device e.g. mouse, graphics tablet: how far the cursor moves compared to the movement of the device.
