Definition: (1) In image editing: to change the dimensions of an image file or its output. * This may or may not include changing the number of pixels in the file. (2) In desk-top publishing: to change the dimensions of a box containing an image or a graphic, at the same time changing the size of the object enclosed in the box. (3) In dark-room work: to move the film stage to a different position and focusing the image, thus changing reproduction ratio.
