re-sizing
Definition: Changing the resolution or file size of an image. * Reducing the resolution or file size results in irreparable loss of information as unwanted data is discarded. Increasing the resolution or file size requires interpolation which does not increase the available detail of the image. * Re-sizing may or may not result in a change in the size of the image as it is finally printed.
