Definition: (1) Image of the aperture stop as seen from either the front (entrance pupil) or behind (exit pupil) the lens i.e. from the object or image space. * In modern camera lenses, the size of the entrance and exit pupils varies: their ratio is the pupil factor or pupil magnification. (2). Aperture in the centre of the iris of eye through which light enters the eye.
