power spectrum

Definition: Graphical representation of the relationship between wavelength of light and power of emission at that wavelength for a given light-source. * From the power spectrum it is easy to see e.g. that incandescent sources emit more or less evenly over a broad range of wavelengths but e.g. flourescent emit most of their energy into two or three very narrow wave-bands.
