photolithography
Definition: Printing technique in which photography is used to create a lithographic plate. Death of a practice, death of a term Photolithography was formerly synonymous with lithography -- in the days that pasted-up artwork was photographed in a process camera to create the litho plates. But now most lithographic plates are made from digital files, so those lovely process cameras are mostly rusting away and getting dusty. As will the term 'photolithography'.
