perspective

Definition: (1) Characteristics of a view determined by the position of the viewer with respect to the view. * Perspective interacts with factors such as projection of an image in ways that may create e.g. distortion of projection. For example, a low position looking up at a tall building causes the projection distortion of key-stoning. (2) Tool in graphics or image manipulation software that simulates effect of changing perspective: it distorts the image shape to e.g. produce converging parallels.
