out-of-gamut

Definition: Colour or colours that are visible or reproducible in one colour space but which cannot be seen, output or reproduced in another. * E.g. many bright and highly saturated colours visible in RGB space are out-of-gamut in the CMYK space of lithography i.e. these colours cannot be printed with process colours.
