Definition: Rapid, involuntary and repetitive movements of the eye. * Micronystagmus (physiological nystagmus) is the very small movements which are healthy and occur when the eyes fixate on an object. * There are numerous other types of nystagmus -- easily visible movements -- which are mostly pathological.
