Definition: Accessory for luminaire such as studio lights or flash-gun designed to change the quality and spread of light projected by e.g. interposing a physical baffle to diffuse light or a honeycomb to limit the spread of light, limiting spread of the light-beam with flaps like barn-doors or using optical devices such as fresnel lens to vary the concentration of light.
