Definition: Degradation of image quality in multi-layer colour films caused by development or other process in one layer affecting processes in an adjacent layer. * E.g. high exposure in one layer may release developer inhibitors which migrate to the next layer and slow development in the wrong colour, causing inaccurate highlight reproduction.
