hypo-eliminator

Definition: Bath used after fixer bath and intermediate wash to remove fix from film or print. * Consists of e.g. hydrogen peroxide with ammonia which react with thiosulphate to make highly soluble compounds. * Distinguish from wash-aid which does not react with hypo. * Also known as hypo-clear.
