hypermedia
Definition: Type of file holding information in several media -- e.g. text, image, animation, sounds -- embedded with links to other parts of the document, other files and media, and even to remote sources of information. * By extension to hypertext, hypermedia combine different types of media with links that make it easy to navigate interactively i.e. to consume the information in a non-sequential manner over which the consumer has some control.
