Definition: (1) Process of giving a hard glossy finish to a print e.g. a print is dried by pressing it against a polished metal plate under heat and pressure. * Also known as ferrotyping. (2) Process of placing glass or lenses in a frame e.g. spectacle lenses; window glass when picture-framing.
