freeware

Definition: Class of software that is free to copy and use without payment of fee. Free doesn't mean everything Users of freeware do not have the right to trade the freeware e.g. offer it for sale as if it is theirs to sell or alter it in anyway. And if you distribute it, you are usually asked -- as a courtesy -- to include stuff like credits and version history.
