Definition: (1) Noun: communications in both directions between connected devices. * If transmission in both directions can occur simultaneously, it is known as full duplex. * If only one transmitter can send at a time, the system half-duplex. (2) Adjective: ~ printer, ~ paper: capable of printing -- or of being printed -- on both sides of a sheet.
