contrast grade

Definition: Measure of contrast or gamma of printing paper. * Usually runs on scale between 0 and 6, depending on manufacturer where low grade indicates low contrast, 2 or 3 being 'normal'. * No standard that has been formally agreed has been widely adopted, except the de facto norm that higher contrast grades correspond to higher contrast index.
