Definition: Process of controlling the output of all devices in a production chain to ensure that final results are reliable and repeatable from the point of view of colour reproduction. * Software systems are available that help e.g. from Kodak, Pantone, Linotype etc. but all rely on accurate calibration of monitor and printer outputs.
