colour correction
Definition: (1) The reduction of chromatic aberrations in an optical system. * Usually implies two spectral colours e.g. red and green are brought to a common focus. (2) Image editing or manipulation work that aims to bring an image to a neutral overall colour balance i.e. to remove any colour cast due to mismatch of film or sensor spectral sensitivity with illuminant colour temperature or from errors caused by scanning.
