chronophotography
Definition: Photographic recording of a movement, action or other phenomenon which consists of a series of still pictures taken at regular intervals during the action. * The work of Eadweard Muybridge is the most celebrated oeuvre of this type. * Do not confuse with mutliple stroboscopic images, e.g. of Harold Edgerton in which the sequence of images are superimposed onto the same record.
