Definition: Printed circuit board carrying processors, memory, switches, connectors and other devices that can be plugged or slotted into a computer's motherboard in order to add extra features such as video capture, graphics acceleration or communications. * Synonymous with boards but applied commonly to Apple Macintosh computers.
