bandwidth
Definition: (1) Range of frequencies transmitted, used or passed by a device such as a radio, TV channel, satellite, loudspeaker etc. (2) A measure of the amount of information that can flow through a system, expressed as a frequency: in theory, the higher the frequency, the more information can be carried. (3) Filter ~: Measure of the range of wavelengths that are transmitted by a filter e.g. bandwidth of a blue filter is 375 nm - 430 nm.
