Definition: Photographic medium that directly produces a positive reproduction of the original after chemical development or processing, without further intermediate steps using other materials. * This almost always requires bleaching and re-exposure plus re-development steps because photographic processes are inherently negative-producing. * E.g. Polaroid Polapan and Polachrome instant-process, positive films.
