Syquest drive

Definition: Proprietory name for largely obsolete removable media. No longevity in numbers, here The term was useful when Syquest drives enjoyed ordered compatibilities with each other but quickly become confusing when Syquest introduced at least five different, totally incompatible types. Which stupidity goes a long way to explaining why the entire lot is obsolete, despite enjoying total market dominance for a few years.
