Rapid Rectilinear lens

Definition: Family of lens designs based on Dallmeyer's design (c1866) which offered low distortion, lateral colour and coma at a relatively fast speed of f/8 (instead of f/16 or slower) but narrow field. * Consists of two symmetrical menisci on either side of the aperture stop.
