Definition: Enhanced Graphics Adaptor: video adaptor standard for graphics on personal computer for displaying up to 16 colours simultaneously at resolution of 640x350 pixels, with text characters built from 8x14 pixel panels. * Total palette of colours is 64 from which the viewable 16 are chosen. * Obsolete for desk-top use, but survives where graphics requirements are very simple e.g. cash-points.
