Bézier curve

Definition: In graphics or illustration programs, a curve whose shape and complexity can be manipulated indirectly by moving control handles, usually little squares at the ends of a line that touches the curve. Usually there is a pair of control handles at each turn of the curve. In some programs extra control handles can be added at any point on the curve. * Such a curve is generated by calculating the spatial coordinates of a line lying between control points according to weighting factors. In theory, changes affecting one control point alter the entire line. * This technique defines a line efficiently; allows easy control and is resolution-independent. * Also known as a path.
